The Royal Wedding is just days away and if you're like us you've been waiting for this moment for, welll... 5 months! Let's be honest, we've all been anticipating the big reveal of the soon-to-be Princess Meghan's dress! Will she opt for a long 25-foot train to honor Princess Diana, or will she go glam with a dress inspired by the iconic Princess Grace of Monaco? We just can't wait to see!
One thing for sure is that we've seen some of the dreamiest wedding dresses worn by royals over the years - and we love how the styles and the silhouettes are all so different! Today on the blog we're taking a trip back in time to look at some of our favorite royal wedding gowns...
Princess Victoria of Sweden - 2010
The Modern Bride

There are no words that could describe our love for this dress! If you've kept watch on trends in the wedding industry lately, you know it's been all about clean lines and simple details and this gown truly has it all. Plus the off-the-shoulder neckline is both incredibly flattering and on-trend. We could totally see Meghan donning something similar to this silhouette on her big day.
Diana, Princess of Wales - 1981
The Statement Bride

Diana's dress is still known today as probably the single most famous wedding gown in history, and for good reason! While modern brides are likely not going to be seen donning the giant shoulder pad detailing like we see above, there are still elements of inspiration from this Princess's iconic look. I mean, just look at that jaw-dropping train! So beautiful!
Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge - 2011
The Classic Bride

The entire world watched in 2011 as Kate Middleton's carriage paraded through the streets of London for her highly anticipated nuptials to Prince William. However, it was her gorgeous lace Alexander McQueen gown that truly stole the show that day. The lace sleeves. The detailed fit-and-flare silhouette. And the flawless hair + makeup (rumored to have been done by the royal herself!). It was a complete style win!

Just when we thought we'd seen it all, we saw her in her second dress - this satin number, paired with a textured topper, was what our reception dress dreams are made of!
Princess Caroline of Monaco - 1978
The Boho Bride

What goes around, comes around... and the wedding dress worn by Princess Caroline is certainly no exception! The flowy silhouette, flower crown, and effortlessly chic middle part hairstyle is everything that the boho brides of today are looking to achieve with their "big day" style.
Princess Grace of Monaco - 1956
The Vintage Glam Bride

You know what they say... "like mother, like daughter!" There are a few noticeable similarities between Princess Caroline and her mother, Princess Grace's iconic wedding looks, but one stark difference is that Princess Grace pulled off this Hollywood-glam bridal look like no other. We love how the lace top of her gown is very vintage and modest while the skirt offers a very chic, polished look.
Princess Claire of Luxembourg - 2013
The Fairytale Bride

This lace gown, with its sheer high neckline and fitted bodice is exactly what comes to mind when we think of a fairytale wedding. With Princess Claire's 2013 wedding being the most recent on this list, we can't help but imagine that Meghan's own wedding gown will share some similarities.
So, brides-to-be, we want to hear from YOU! Let us know in the comments which royal bride's style is your favorite...
